So I found out that you don’t mess with the big burrito. Following my Cafe Rio fiasco, corporate got in touch with me and OVERNIGHTED a sweet package to me. Included in the package were 3 magic t-shirts, 2 free meal cards and some awesome bumper stickers, my favorite of which reads “Fueled by Black Beans” Yes, Cafe Rio, I forgive you, and even want to pay your love forward so that other’s can indulge in your deliciousness.
Prize Giveaway: 3 Winners of 1 Free Magic Cafe Rio T-shirt, don’t care about a magic t-shirt? How about knowing that when you wear it to Cafe Rio, it has a nifty little tag attached to it that gets you a one time FREE MEAL, I told you it’s magic. That’s right, and I’m pretty sure that free meal includes a FREE Strawberry Lemonade Sweetened with Stevia. I will also include a bumper sticker of your choice 😉

Wow they overnighted it!? they are definitely trying to win you back:) haha No Cafe Rio by me .. *tear … but I think Chipotle needs to adopt a magical t-shirt policy! — that or the whole foods salad bar! haha
I know! Super cool! We are going to have to have a Cafe Rio meetup when you come out to Park City next!!! xoxo

Won’t that be fun!!! Sorry about your fire 😦 hope your 4th of July Celebrations aren’t ruined! Did I tell you I have a brother that spends summers in Bayfield WI? SO BEAUTIFUL!
Woohooo Cafe Rio giveaway!!! I love Mexican because it doesn’t make me tired after I eat it. I’m so insanely busy with school, a free meal would not only be appreciated by me but my starving family… that i’m slightly neglecting these days! 😉
How do you like this?!? I’ll try and figure it out!:)
jess
You may have to be a blogger to like this post, so I will consider you “liked” it. Best of luck Jess!!!
What a fun giveaway–even if it wasn’t fun to get to the giveaway. I love Mexican because it’s just plain yummy–especially Cafe Rio! ❤ Black beans 😀
Thanks Jane, it’s great that it all worked out! Good luck!
That’s so cool…all the stuff that they gave you. I’ve had a few problems with Cafe Rio in the past…it took me awhile to forgive them…could’ve been faster with an overnighted package for sure!!
Apparently you just need to squack loud enough 😉 Are you entering the giveaway? I would love you too…. 😉
Debbie – Corporate here, yes in fact we are stalking this blog…but in a good way. Anywho, we’d be very interested in hearing what issues you’ve run into, because that blows the big bean burrito. If you would please give me a call with all the details, I’d really appreciate it, and I’ll see what I can do to make it better. Stacy – 801.930.6037.
I will make sure Debbie gets this 😉 She’s a friend of mine.
I LOVE me some RIO…who doesn’t! There is something so delightful about their tortilla and dipping in the dressing…oh yummy!
Yay Hanna! Thanks for entering. I know… their tortillas, their dressing. It’s torture just thinking about it!
The oh so yummy tostadas!
Yes, they are one of my faves!!!
Sweet! Nice that they did that for you. You’ll have to exclude me from your draw though.. it’d be way too far to drive for a nice meal. 🙂
Don’t worry, I honestly have something special planned for you in my next post give-away. Since you will likely be out of town on vacay when I post, and I don’t want you to miss out with the random winner pickings, I will just have to have you email me your address so you don’t miss out 😉
P.S. any idea of what to do with 5 lbs dried lavender?
Wow, that’s a lot of lavender! You could cook with some of it – make some herbs de province, or blend it with some sugar until its a fine light purple powder and use it in lemonade or iced tea and baking..
Oh you brilliant creature…… Doing both!
Make your kiddos a bedtime pillow- sachets to make your closets smell yummy- SOAP!
I originally bought the lavender for the soap. Unfortunately the lye process turns the lavender brown and makes it look like dead flies in the soap. NOT appealing….
Sachets, herbs de provence, lavender sugar and bedtime pillows are things I hadn’t thought of 😉
Dude, it isn’t too far to drive! (plus I’ll be there in August!)
Radical, you are on my friend!!!
But if you win, I might have to hold it hostage for when you come so we can see you!
Yes, yes and yes. I can’t believe you found the blog. We can’t wait to hang out with you girl….
What is not to love about Mexican food! Besides, I’m like a hot tamale and I Love to eat. 🙂
Woot Woot!
Yes, yes you are. Thanks for having us over today – we totally needed it!
Mmm… Love me some pico! ‘Nuf said!
Oh, the battle between pico and salsa fresca begins!
Umm, I’ll take both.
me too, shhh 😉
I love how you handled Cafe Rio and I love that they responded so kindly. It really shows that they care about their customers, and if I were local, I would signing up for this giveaway! 🙂
Did you check the locations map? I think they have some locations in California….
Thanks Kristy!
You’re totally right- I didn’t check the map closely enough. The closest one is about 45 minutes from where I live, though, in an area I’ve only been to a couple times. I will enter anyway! 🙂
And on the east coast too!
Yup, check the map peeps!
I love Mexican food because of all of the fresh flavors combined. I love Cafe Rio because they do it better than anyone! I could eat there weekly 🙂
True Dat! Thanks for entering!
What’s not to love. Burritos, salads, tacos. Yum yum
Yay! Glad you entered!

I love that I can ALWAYS count on Mexican food to get exactly what I need on a hot, summer day: the guac!! Being raw, there’s little I can count on outside my own kitchen. But I know I can pop into most Mexican joints–fancy, hole in the wall, mom and pop…whatever…and get a great plate of guac and pico! YUMM!
Yay!

Wow, I’m impressed with Cafe Rio! If everyone was this responsive what a great world we would live in…but they need a Portland Oregon location 😉
