This Blog started is a whole foods blog, so these recipes are for Veg-heads and Carnivores alike – recipes that are vegan, vegetarian or gluten free will be noted next to the recipe. For Gluten Free and Vegan recipes, please, please, please read the labels of your foods to make sure your products don’t contain any wheat products or animal products, respectively. Gluten Free or Vegan Option recipes may require substitution or elimination of one or two ingredients to fit the criteria. Substitutions are included in recipes.

Many recipes that are listed as vegetarian contain honey as the only animal product, if you want to make those recipes vegan, just substitute pure maple syrup, brown rice syrup or agave for the honey.

  4. Somer, thanks for the visits to my blog! I’m an omnivore but eat vegetarian about 98% of the time, and my husband is vegetarian 100% of the time. I’m looking forward to trying out the vegan recipes here, although I need to do a partial refit in the pantry.

    • Anytime! The great thing about vegan recipes is that they are easily customized to be vegetarian, you can sub eggs, dairy, butter, cheese where appropriate. The integrity of the recipe should remain the same, especially since the lot of us used to be omnivores! Enjoy!
